Nacho the Wobble Cat: A Special Needs Rescue Story with a Happy Ending
Some rescue stories are impossible to forget, and Nacho’s is one of them.
When Last Hope was contacted about a cat suffering from a severe neck wound, immediate action was needed. The injury was extensive, and without treatment, his future was uncertain.
Despite the pain and ongoing medical care, Nacho’s affectionate personality shined through from day one.
He loved kisses, head boops, and attention from everyone he met. His foster quickly discovered that Nacho wasn’t interested in being alone—he wanted to be wherever the people were.
Nacho also has cerebellar hypoplasia, a neurological condition that gives him a distinctive wobble and adorable head tilt. Watching him chase wand toys became a daily source of laughter and joy.
Most of all, Nacho loved cuddling. Whether curled up in someone’s arms or stretched across a lap, he thrived on companionship.
His foster described him as one of the most people-oriented cats she had ever met.
Today, Nacho is living happily with his adoptive family, who fell in love with him immediately. He has traded medical treatments and recovery time for a life filled with comfort, love, and endless snuggles.
