Boogey’s Second Chance: From Overlooked to Overjoyed

Sometimes all it takes is one person willing to take a second look.

While transporting dogs from Burnsville Animal Control for Last Hope Animal Rescue, a volunteer was introduced to a dog named Boogey. Although he hadn’t been selected for transport, staff believed he deserved another chance.

The moment Boogey stepped out of his kennel, his personality shined. Friendly, intelligent, and full of trust, he quickly made an impression.

A foster home was secured, and before long, Boogey was beginning a new chapter.
He settled into foster care effortlessly, winning over everyone he met with his cheerful personality and loving nature. Soon afterward, he found the forever family he’d been waiting for.

Boogey’s story reminds us why every animal deserves a second chance.
